Does any one have or has had one. I'm looking at one with a Panther 454 and a berkeley 12jc. The hull looks like a lot of 20 foot cruisers. Any info would be great.

I think it may have been assumed it has a Panther pump, even though you said JG Berk.
Hate to say it out loud, but very few Tahiti hulls were NOT splashes of other hulls. It was running amuck for years.
Anyway, there are normally good things about every hull.
As for design, I am not real familiar with that hull. All I can say is that the Tahiti is normally built heavy an not really known to be extraordinarily strong.
Maybe I'll try to turn a few stones and see if I can figure out who's bottom they used.

It has a berkeley jc pump. It says panther on the valve covers and the logs. I'm guessing it was a h333 motor from panther marine or some thing like that.

Good look`n boat, what do you think ? Tahiti, popular boats, made plenty of them as you know. A friend of ours bought brand new 18ft w/Panther set up and Berk pump, yrs. ago. Their 5yr old boy,on their first outing, tossed a 6pound anchor on the deck. They were so pissed and embarrassed that their Lil boy would do that to the beautiful Tahiti. Lite beige w/ drk brown seating. Anyway, gunna buy that cruiser, maybe already have?

That hull was an original, tooled up in house at Tahiti. Great hull and does everything well, jet, I/O, outboard and v-drive. Advantage boats for one, copied it and still offer it in their line up. We added a wedge, at Advantage, in the I/Os between the gimbal and transom to give it 15 degrees. I think it has 12 stock? That hull also loves a keel fin, especially on jets.

This poster is from 1975 when the 20 super cruiser was tooled up. There are a few of them in the pic, the one in the foreground with the diamond tuft interior, the black one on the right. This was a year after I left Tahiti to go to Hawaiian, along with half off the crew, so I didn't work there when it was introduced but it's still one of my all time favorite hulls, no matter who built it. Classic lines and that long deck is really good looking.

Thanks old rigger that's the info I was hoping to get. Mine is all original I think. The seating might have been changed at one time and I hope the motor has been gone through. It still has the dealer decal in it.
