Title: unidentified hull
Post by: jeren0205 on March 24, 2010, 01:16:57 PM: Can anyone tell me what hull this is? There are no tags ANYWHERE on this boat. All i can make of it is that it has an olds motor, a berkley 12jc-A jet pump, and it was registered in california in 1973. I picked up for next to nothing, but still would like to know a little about it. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Post by: jeren0205 on March 24, 2010, 03:20:50 PM: It measures out to be 17 ft, I have another hull that a guy just asked me to haul off. That i dont know the manufacturer as well. Whoever started working on it must have had a plan.... But i dont know what it was. The back end needs some glass work. Let me know what you think. I figure free cant go too wrong.

Post by: Baja and Bust on March 24, 2010, 03:59:22 PM: Looks to me like whoever it was, their plan was to mount an egg beater on the back of it (an outboard). In that case, you might have to pay someone to take it away.

Post by: jeren0205 on March 24, 2010, 05:08:28 PM: I figured that was what they were trying to do. It is basically just a piece of wood stuck to thge back of it. I guess im not out any more than the fuel it took to pick it up.

On the other hull i have looked every where and there is no ID tags any place on it. So i guess ill keep surfin the net to see what i can find.

Post by: Nordie on March 24, 2010, 07:31:46 PM: good point chromey, but i was thinking along the lines of redsnapperslapper's glencoe...the entryway really reminds me of this boat, but i am confused on the bow...is the darker area actually popped up or is it the colors and shadows throwing me off? pretty cool looking hull, it's gonna take a good chop...just dont expect to set any speed records with it!

Post by: jeren0205 on March 24, 2010, 11:51:24 PM: Yes the darker part is raised. The top part of the boat hass been painted, but the lower appears to be factory. Its got a sparkle (bass boat) look to it.

Ill post a few more pics. Im just glad that someone may have some knowledge that will help. Im sick of surfing.

Metalflake would seem to be original gel so should be pretty apparent, unless some repairs have eradicated it. Anything on the title or registration indicating a HID number?

Nordie's right, you should be able to OWN the rough lake stuff with that lil thing! Bottom looks a LOT like my Saguaro, but even deeper I think. Good looking project no matter what it is, really.

I would say that that hull is a variation of an Avenger...But then again, who knows...Avenger used to put a second HID number in the back side of the dash panel. ;)

The guy i bought it from has lived on the property since 1982 and it was in the barn until 1998. He is an older man and i just hit him up about it. He basically just said that he had no history on it other than it taking up space in his barn.

I got it for next to nothing. I payed more for the used tires that i had to put on the trailer, than i did the whole setup. It even had the key in the ignition.

Yea tunnel on the brain and paint stripper on my hands. ;)

I have no idea what that is, but I'm sure Tom (JBP) has owned one at some point. ::)
