Hi guys, I know this little obscure manufacturer in China, Maine didn't design this hull - I've seen too many that look almost identical to it, and surely nobody copied THEM - 1973 Cougar 18 by Gazelle Plastics Products of China Maine. Anybody even heard of them?
Anyway, I think it bears a striking resemblance to a mid to late 1960's Rodgers. It's 18'8" long with full stringers.
What do you guys think it looks like?

I'd say a Holmes horizon

Can you show me a photo? All the photos of Holmes Horizon's I pull up look nothing like my hull - concave gunwales, mine are convex. sharply squared tail, mine is barrel shaped.

Looking more I come across this http://www.vintagejetboats.com/album.php?tabid=37 (http://www.vintagejetboats.com/album.php?tabid=37) Sleekcraft Evolution
Mine looks to be a near carbon copy except mine has a sharper hook to the outer chine - maybe that is how much they had to change to make it not a replica?
Sleekcraft any good? All I've ever heard was heavy, which mine seem to be also.

def looks like a 1973 money pit. same builder as mine, mines just a newer model. ^-^

As pits go this one hasn't been bad - jet boat parts are a ton cheaper than big boat parts.
She even gets good mileage! For a jet ;-)
