Title: Which Rogers Hull do I have?
Post by: 74RogersBubbledeck on August 30, 2012, 07:36:06 AM
I've come to realize I don't know as much about the Rogers hull as I would like too. How many different styles were there in 1974? Is mine the Bonneville Bubbledeck? What's the difference with the TR? I still have my original seats, the passenger seat is a sideways bench. The bow is sealed about 3 feet in from the steering wheel.

I'm building mine because I got hooked many years ago after going for a short ride in my brother-in-laws. His dad is one of those old school guys that built many race cars & boats. This Rogers was a 74 Bubble like mine. Blown nitrous with a pump that was detailed and set back by Roger himself. This was in the early 90's, when asked if he went 100mph it was always I doubt it. One of his last runs on the river he raced a guy who claimed he went 105mph at the drags, Morrie pulled away from this guy and it wasn't even a race. AA impeller running 6800rpm with nitrous button on - What a ride![attach=1][attach=2]

I think the tr is a 19ft and the regular bonnieville is 18ft and the cyclone is not a bubble deck

You have the Bonneville.  They were all bubbledecks from what I know.  The Bonneville TR is as stated 19 foot and has dropped chines.  (A Rogers Cyclone has a flat deck and a steeper keel, and the Super Cyclone has the flat deck with the Bonneville bottom).  Not sure if all those were available in 74.

Thanks Gregb

There's a TR on CL for not very much. I like what I have so I'll keep sinking cash into it until I get it where I want it. The color sucks, but the hull is in really good shape. The very last thing I'll do is make it pretty.
