Careful there Chief! Put a doghouse on to get insurance, then something happens and there's no doghouse?

Asking for a "CLAIM DENIED".......

I had a similar issue with my boats with State Farm. Finally ended up with some "Regional" cat showing up taking pictures of my boats when I threatened to take my homeowners, car, and life insurance elsewhere if they would not insure the stoopid boats. I have copies of the deal struck, the pictures, and even the Regional guy in one sitting in Moo.

There are other companies out there many endorse for us boaters. But I can only guess whats involved filing a claim with them. State Farm, Allstate, etc, you can count on the money being there and willing to spend.

Insurance is only good if they pay up, guys. Circumventing that is ASKING for a lawsuit and becoming homeless should the worst occur. First thing about insurance companies. They try and find a way out of paying. My Ex mother in law filed a claim when lightning hit a tree in their backyard. Blew up damn near everything in their house. A grip of "corporates" came in with tape measures measuring every room in the house, total square footage, etc TRYING to find a way out of paying. My ex MIL was also an agent of the same company. I won't mention their name, but their initials are "Traveler's"....... They ended up paying.....and she lost her job.......

FWIW, The Charger is the only one on my insurance now, but back when I had Moo, Pickle and the Charger it cost me $85 a year.........  ;)

Sucks I never had insurance when the Biesemeyer burned and sank.......learned my lesson right there!

you know I totally didn't think about that thank you for that bit of info.  I guess if that's the case ill just build an engine cover and run it.

Just dont lie about anything with your provider. Make them take pics/ info with anything you have done and report that to them. One small detail could eliminate your claim.

Everyone thinks they can get by on the cheap and screw the Insurance companies. Normally they do, on premiums only. But as you said, it'll come back on ya IF something happens....... This is why I get a kick out of Haggerty.......They have enough money to sponsor most of the Barrett-Jackson and Meecum auctions, yet the 3 people I know that have claims with them are still fighting them......    :sly:
