Title: A-1 marine interior
Post by: Ralph Brunt on August 03, 2009, 08:42:03 PM
ok i will play the bad guy here. I have seen two sets of seats come out of this place and granted the material is new and looks great

i dont think those guys know how to use a tape measure, on both sets of seats the pleats (for lack of a better word) on the back dont match the pleats on the cushion itself. wtf ??? when they are stitching it cant they see that they don't line up. if it was my interior they would be doing it over or giving me a deep discount. the only reason i look at shit like this is because i will be in the market over the winter... luckystiff are you picking up what im laying down.............. you will be my guy and i look at shit like this.

sorry for the rant guys
ralph

I'm right there with you Ralph, I didn't want to say anything as it would look like I was crying sour grapes. Pleat alignment is paramount in making your seats look as good as they can, don't worry sweetcheeks, I'll make sure your seats are done properly. I'm glad Skee & Beav are happy with their seats and the price they paid for them, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when people are happy  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

This is exactly why I didn't want to say anything, some people just aren't receptive to any thing other than their opinions, here's mine, your seats are pretty, your boat is the dog's bollocks, please continue on with life as it was. Oh wait, didn't you say you were done here? Oh yeah, here's the quote from your post:

"So I picked the boat up today from Raul....I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with the way it turned out ,I also saw Beaverretriever's 2 buckets too..They look pretty cool too! Anyway..this'll be my last post here at SCJB.
 It's been cool,but I gotta get....

Ralph, you brought of a good point.   And if you're looking to get interior work done yourself, you need to know who is going to do the best work for the buck.

No foul at this time  ;D

im happy with my seats and have no problems yet. i heard a few stories about the time it takes to do something, and the price changing. i went because they were close and i thought the price was good. i have nothing to say because this is the only interior work i have ever done in anything that i have paid for. if it was up to me i would have used mexican blankets.... i just wanted to throw down my .02 since my name was on here.

good topic ralph, and skip. i think some people might be to thin skinned. its not like A1 was on here defending there work it was just someone who got there work done there. but what the hell do i know

Are you talking about the back, center white section, on the top the seams start going a little crooked?  Thats all I can see.

i am not a big fan of the top edge of the seats) like where your arm would go) but other than that looks good. but i dont know what im looking at

I agree with ya.  I would run that seat in my boat.

This reminds me of a time when I had some fiberglass buckets covered and the guy I had do them did an amazing job.
I had to do some serious work to pull the covers over the glass to button them up and there were no wrinkles in the material anywhere.
These things were tighter than a snare drum ALL the way around.
Then I go and walk around to some of these big dollar flat bottoms and the seats are like a porn stars pussy .
All kinds of material flappin all over the place.
I chaulked it up to , if he likes it , I like it and thats all that matters.
I buy tons of stuff for way too much and lottsa folks look at me funny for payin it but at the end of the day, I can sleep at night paying what I did.
Ralphs not into cheap shots so lighten up Skee.
If you like it , we like it .
