I'm redoing the carpet in my challenger and was wondering what the best romoval method or product would be for getting all the old carpet glue off the floor of my boat.

you can try gasoline and a putty knife.....but i heard that conventional pump gas has a chemical that breaks down fiberglass resin and to use camping gas instead. i have not tried camping gas.
i stripped my floors clean using a variety of things like a DA sander, angle grinder with a wire wheel....where its thick, it will gum up a lot. it would then be warm enough to scrape it out with a putty knife.
oh yeah....you will need LOTS of elbow grease....that stuff does NOT come out easy. :thumbdown:

I have used adhesive remover from home d on the thick yellowish carpet glue. Apply with a brush, wait the time specified and remove with a putty spreader. One more light coat and then wipe down with think terry cloth. After its clean wash it with some degreaser(simple green/soapy water) to neutralize. Be careful to follow instructions. Most removers dont suggest use on fiberglass.

Home d sells a latix carpet glue remover. Paint it on and scrape it off.Then use a rag with it on to do final clean up
