Bimini "stays".???
« on: April 02, 2013, 01:21:47 PM »
Hi, been away for the winter, but now that its warming up...

Last summer while out on the water I saw a pretty slick set up where there were some tubular brackets to hold a bimini top while it is not in use. They held the top just above the engine hatch/cover, which is what I need. I built a hatch, and when the top is down, it makes a nasty depression on it.

Im sure that I could make they brackets that I saw, but wanted to ask if anyone has seen a kit that is ready to go. The one I saw was stainless, and looked about a foot long or so.

Thanks ahead of time,
-Kory

I run two sets of mounts..one for up and the other farther back for in tow...I am buying a new bimini real soon and it has the mounts your interested in. I will be selling them as I get it. Way easier to just install another set of mounts.

X2

My boat has two sets of quick release mounts on for travel so the Bimini sits just past the engine cover and a set further up the boat for when the Bimini is in use. I also made some straps to hold the Bimini down to my rear grab handles so no bouncy bouncy.
