Does anyone have any pics of how they bent there plywood to make bucket seats?

Couple different ways I’ve done it. I’ve done the soak in the pool/hose trick before with good results, then just bend it to your shape and secure. Also, you can kerf cut every 1/2” or so to relieve the tension on your bend. Sorry I don’t have pics specifically but I hope this helps with your build.

i was thinking to kerf it my self. I did a practice run earlier today. I cut strips 1” apart and that worked out well. My only concern is I have to cut almost all the way threw the plywood. I’m assuming I have to fiberglass that all in really well to get the strength back?

yes you must resin coat ALL the wood, for strength and so the wood does not rot!!!

Bendable plywood, also known as Curve-Ply, Flexply, Wacky Wood and Wiggle wood. Can be purchased at a real lumber store ( not Home Depot or Lowe’s)
Comes in multiple thicknesses, I chose 3/8 and laminated (with wood glue) 2 pieces together to get 3/4

I built new bucket seats for mine. I cut 1 inch strips and attached them to the seat base. Then stapled the strips together at the cuts. Then I fiberglassed them for strength. I'll be quite honest I've got about $200 in just the wood and fiberglass. If it were me I would buy the fiberglass bucket seats from jetboat performance. They'll never rot, they're light weight and you can get a pair for about $330.

I still need to put fiberglass on all the bends for strength and get a good coat of resin on the rest of it

Looks great. Do you have an interior shop yet? Your tanks are going to be interesting to work around. I would get some feedback on that part of your seat from them before you seal them up just in case you have to make changes. Otherwise that’s a pretty good setup.
