Title: Carpet
Post by: FordLover on March 24, 2015, 08:50:18 AM
Ok, talk to me like I am an idiot.  Think I am going to try and change out the carpet before the engine goes back in.

Steps:
1)Rip out Carpet
2)Sand down old glue/wood
3)Fancy Wood Glue
4)28oz Carpet

Sound about right?

Contact cement out of a sprayer or can works pretty good and won't make it a chore to get out the next time you change it.

I second the spray adhesive or contact cement, I once used a carpet adhesive and it was terrible when I removed the carpet-about 2-3 weeks of grinding and scraping and who knows how much && in materials I used removing that crap. That being said I have had good luck with 3m and loctite brand high strength aerosol spray adhesive.
