Can someone folks post up some photos of how they have their guages laid out on their dash?  Thanks.

Always mount the tach in the center.  If you want to go racin' then you can swap the tach and steering and mount the seat between the stringers and enter Comp Jet.

Greg, are you talking about cutting in new holes or in which order to lay them out.

Lay out.  The holes are there but some previous owner/hack decided to try and fill them in.  That fill-in is now popping out.  I may go ahead and fill the holes properly and then drilling in my own.  Lay out is what I'm looking for.  I know how they are on my Miller and I guess that's about the regular way to install them.  Just was looking for new ideas.

The old dash.  You can see the patches.

Here's the layout in my Advantage before we restored it.

oil pres.
water temp.
tach
speedo
volt
fuel
hour

In the Rogers I wanted simple and clean.
When I originally ordered the Advantage I wanted a dash full of gauges.

Left to right, oil, water, tach, speed, volts, fuel and fuel  O0  By the way, it says "Don't Panic" upside down above the guages (a little whitewater humor)

Thanks,  That guy who had one for sale hasn't been back.  I guess I'll just keep looking for a wheel.  Maybe a butterfly dragster wheel would look cool.

I had a mechanical version of that tach, it was bagged from the Sanger (UFO) before I sold it to Tom, those are cool!

heres the layup i did in the raspberry.....just like wizard was talking about

only thing i didnt like is the 2 guages just outside from the helm are blocked. i put no-so-important gauges there. (volt and fuel level) and put water temp and oil pressure on the outside. i had to get a bezel for the tach to turn the face towards me because it was so far out to the left.

I guess I need to crawl up under the dash to see what WAS there.  Right now all I can see are the external patches that are popping out.

Who makes those gauges?  What is your Speedo?
Those were some inexpensive Gaffrig gauges that picked up from CP or Dana years ago. When we restored the boat in 05, we put in Hardin Stanless series with a GPS speedo. Dont seem to have any pics of those.

Well, before I decide on the brand or color of the gauges, I need to figure out what I want to do for boat paint scheme.  I just thought I would look at how others have their gauges laid out before I do anything to the dash.
