Has anyone seen or herd of spraying the bottom of  the iside and stringers  with linex instead of doing carpet

JMO but it looks like hell. Just carpet it or flow coat it.

Any other options I would like to do flow coat but never done it and I have no idea what it would cost

I used interlux bilgekote.  Its easy to apply.  Just sand everything and get it clean then brush it on.  It lays smooth and has a very glossy shine to it.  A quart is around $40 at west marine.
