Title: New seats
Post by: Beaveretriever on March 05, 2012, 10:27:54 PM
Well after long consideration I have finally made some back to back seats for the flat bottom. I have seen lots of pictures and finally made something with only three weeks till Parker. Here are some pictures. I was going to take some last night when I was done but it was dark. Also my brother and my dad were right there with me all day cutting and sanding.

Sweet. I'll let ya know how my rebuilt seats turn out when I pick em up tomorrow in case you don't have an upholsterer in mind.

Henry's upholstery in La Habra.
He's doing labor only on my entire boat for 1500. I've gotten a few panels back and have been by there to approve work thus far, looks good.

I'm afraid I can't recommend my guy.

It will all be good when done, however I can't babysit or hold hands the whole way through. My Ultra logo that I had embroidered on my vinyl, was embroidered square and even according to the pencil lines done by upholsterer.

Seats were to be done by this past Friday, I hadn't heard anything so I dropped by after work and found my driver seat done. Looks awesome!.. except my logo is tilted 3/8" counter clockwise!

That is not going into my boat. I got there after the head honcho was gone. Going to drop by before work and try out my rusty Spanish.

They're getting redone today with more care. I'm still half tempted to take my loss and take them elsewhere. I got an important trip coming up but I'm only doing this once for the next ten years.

I have a warranty with this guy too. It's not on paper, its on the bottom of my Wolverine boots and will be up his ass if it pops seams.

It will all be ok, he knows I'm a little psycho and wants to make me just go away.

But yes, best advice to the Beav.. Spend more. At this point, if I could go back,I would've paid 1k more, not have to worry, correct things or have to chase a guy up with phone calls.
