I'm going to have to replace my steering on my boat soon do to have some play in the steering wheel about 1/4 turn, not sure if I would replace just the cable ( I have a rotary style steering) or just buy a new set up but not sure witch one is the better, a rack or go with the same style I have the rotary thank for your help guys

What would be best a rack or rotor style steering any input would be greate thanks guys

It its my humble opinion that if you can fit a rack system, use it. My reasons are pretty straight forward; fewer turns lock to lock and better steering wheel feedback than with the rotary.
Besides they're fairly inexpensive. Buy the whole kit.

teleflex rack and pinion kit. just keep in mind you might need an adapter if you dont have a 3 bolt steering wheel. rexmar.com can get you everything you need. give em a call.
