Title: steering wheel

does anyone know of anyways to get a steering wheel shiny again? its really hard to find a brown metalflake one and i want it to look a little better. its not cracked or anything, just a flat finish kinda

If it's aluminum polish it.  If it's rusted steel try to polish it.   If it's SS then you can polish it  ;D
I'm assuming you're talking about the middle?

The only thing I could think of would be a super cleaning.   If that doesn't help and you wouldn't keep the steering wheel anyway try the interior dye clear coat.  I have no idea how that would work
it's just a thought.

how hard is the rubber? If its still hard, clean it, then use a product like plastic renewzit for returning gloss to plastic. go slow, it can work. I have brough other plastics back from oxidized hell to a nice gloss.

OR, if it is clean (not soaked in armorall or the like) you can shoot it with a high gloss clear coat enamel and that will return the luster. The downside is doesnt last a long time, but it is easy to redo.

If you try either of these start somewhere on the wheel where it is least noticible and verify the technique before committing the whole wheel.

i would try using some polishing compound, should bring up the luster
