Title: Sub Floor under storage box..let's see them

I need to see what others did for storage. I have my sub-floor mounted on alum angle screwed into the stringers. I have space underneath. I want to make use of that space. I see overtons sells a hinge cover where you cut a hole and screw this thing down. I think I would need to build a box under the sub-floor and attach it to the backside of the sub-floor. Or does someone sell a complete storage box with door and all.

My opinion is thats kind of a weird set up and it looks like your losing storage.But you have to remember its a jetboat and storage isnt a factor when they build these boats, under the bow or hinge you'r floor and put a handle for it back by the engine so its out of the way.

I just took another look at it and it seems you will be fighting the cables if you hinge your floor :banghead:

Thats a difficult way to store stuff, unless you are out of the boat it will be hard to get to ???
If you have alot to store then maybe a bigger boat is in order..

This is what im working with at the moment, i will be installing a floor in it today but it will not be at the top of the stringers like your floor is, it will be at the bottom.. And i also moved the kickboard farther forward just for storage use.. Not to much we can do to them for storage :banghead:

I would consider that after you have it pretty much buttoned up . 2sav is onto something , you really should have everything in the boat (ie) cables , seats , before you decide to put a hole in your floor . just put everything where its gonna go for layout purposes . Wouldn't wanna hinge it and have it hit the bottom of your seat . My .02
