Title: What length cable?
Post by: Brad @ SCJB on May 19, 2014, 11:48:12 AM
I need a steering cable for the Utrla. What length do you guys think I need?

Its a mid 90's open bow Ultra jetboat.

I measured it out roughly with a measuring tape with it still in the boat. I came up with 13 feet. Does this sound right?

Yeah I did the same and ended up a little long. See if there are numbers on the cable usually the last two are the length of cable

My 19' eliminator took a 15' cable and it should say it on the cable at the pump hook up in inches

Depends on how you want it routed.

Currently runs like this. The one that runs along the top of the gas tank. No visible markings on it either.

The numbers on it will be about 18" from the rack/rotary helm. Toward the front.

That actually is the proper routing but the cable looks to me to be tad short. Should be a 14'.
