The only stern driver at SCJB.......... presently a project, but I hope to have a repower by the late spring or early summer

That's a good question; that's a nice boat and I'd go that route before outboard.

I think I'm gonna repower...... lookin for a 351...... and I'm gonna have the outdrive checked out as well.

My Nordic is a sterndrive, but starting to think jet because OMC blows

i may consider it but i bought another sterndrive for it and we'll go from there we'll talk in parker if i bring that damn boat or my daycruiser which means my nordic isnt running

The Volvo Penta 280 works great. The impellor in the raw water pump probably went south and thats what caused me to overheat. I haven't really had a chance to tear into it. right now the motor barely turns at all. I think something is definitely awry. I'd really like to get a jet so I don't have to worry about a prop in the water,,,,,, a major safety concern with me. The other advantage to a prop is you don't need a big block to power the thing which does keep the cost down at the lake.

If you read the HotBoat Nitrous article from about a year or two ago, that was my motor in the lead photo.  P.S. with the big fogger kit you NEED a progressive controller to keep the initial shock from killing the drive, even with my B-Max.  Probably a good idea with even 150 hp or so...  TIMINATOR
