any ideas?
love to here them
Let me tell you why NOT to do this....
The foot throttle "can" be used on an I/O, but you need to use a Hot Foot or similar. I/O drives are a little sensitive when you go into gear at anything above idle, they also will not come out of gear if under any throttle whatsoever. Which makes them a little dangerous. A Hot Foot has a toe clip for ensuring you can bring the pedal to idle and has better adjustments than that of "we" typically use. You will only get one 1400 rpm shift out of a Mercruiser, even fewer on anything else. Docking with a foot throttle on an I/O sucks butt....

As for the trim buttons, get a wheel mounted trim switch, just make sure it's a nice wheel, you don't want to put $130 worth of lipstick on a pig....

Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
In all honesty, I would rather see you switch to a Morse-Teleflex SL-3 throttle/shift control with a built in trim switch, way mo betta
