Is there a common place were I/o leak. Im leaking a little bit of water into the bilge area. About a gallon an hour and cant figure out where. The bellows are new.

theres the water pickup tube, the shift cable bellows, and the bellows. the exhaust bellows wont let water into the boat, it'll just be loud at the gimbal.
also inside if you have thru-prop exhaust there is a small seal where the Y pipe bolts up to the transom assembly.
shift cable bellows

I have thru transome exhaust. Im not 100% but it seems like it leaks less with outdrive up

it probably leaks less because you're stretching the bellows and closing the hole up. id check the main driveshaft bellows and the shift cable bellows.

I tryed to look for holes but do see anything yet

What drive?
How high does the water need to be before you see the drip?

Alpha. Im not sure at what exact point. Ill try to take it to elsinore this weekend without the engine cover to pinpoint exactly where.

I have the same drive on one of my boats, almost sank due to holes in the bellows

Most likely the bellows has a hole. Look inside each ring, sounds like your hole is on top of bellows if the leak slows when you raise the drive.

Yea thats what I think too. Im gunna talk to oc boat repair about it. Since it has new bellows on it and wasnt leaking before they took the motor and outdrive off the replace stringers.

I was looking for my mystery leak today on the transome and i noticed a crack on the fiberglass and I pushed on it, it was just hollow behind it. Idk if thats causing the leak but it cant be good

Hopefully it will hold togethet for the rest of the summer. I have atleast two more trips. And Ill just do the transom this winter. Shouldnt orange county boat repair have noticed the transome rot since they just did the stringers a month ago

Unless someone wants to do it for me for cheap by the end of july

Is expanding foam a bad idea to get me through the summer

If you are going to do anything, I would recommend drilling some holes (inside the hull) and squirt some Boatlife "Git-Rot" in there to fill in where the wood rotted away.
Pretty good chance it will save the rest of your season anyway.
Not sure the foam would do a damn thing.
