Im going to set it up like the picture below, But for now i figured the switch out, whatever side the arrow on the handle is pointing to is the tank im running on, i would like to relocate it as it is a complete PIA to get to.

That is why i would set it up exactly like you are planning on in the above picture. but replace those manual valves with this

then you just have to run a power wire to it and put a switch on the dash. Then you can switch tanks without leaving the driver seat. I ran one for the life of my old boat. Never once had a problem with it switching over. but if it did it would not be hard to bypass.

I switch between tanks all the time and if i had to go digging around in the back of the boat to get to a manual valve i would not be happy.

just a regular on off switch works. I used the left side tank as my default tank and that is the tank that is selected when the switch is off. (chose that tank cause its the side my truck tank is on). then when you turn the switch on it selects the other tank.

just get an on off switch and mount it side ways. so that when it is to the left it is off. there by selecting the left tank. when you turn the switch on or RIGHT it selects the right tank.

only issue is if you leave it on the on position there will be a tiny draw on your battery to hold that switch in the on position. But a car batter will probabaly last for weeks if that switch is the only thing drawing power. But if you turn your batteries off when ever you park your boat you will never have an issue with this.

this works great and it is the system i have used in my get boat for years. So i can vouch that it works fine.

any chance i can get you to take a measurement from bow to stern (boat only no trailer/drive)?  im wondering if i can fit a 21 bahner in my garage.  id appreciate it.
