The big self debate...this is whats going through my mind....its time to rebuild the pump in my boat....as it is a slipping clutch with the new motor...with the basically stock 429 in the boat i guess i never noticed, but with the new 454 i cant stab the go pedal out of the hole...currently with the not yet tuned motor im seeing 5200-5300rpms at top end...which i would like to see around 5600-5800 because thats where the power really comes on with my motor set-up...so i definately need the pump rebuilt, but where my debate lies is i still use this boat on lake mead to get to the cove, but would definately like to see some more potential.  i guess a dual purpose boat....i know my hull isnt optimum but im pretty sure i already blew past what i should be doing with this hull...im seriously liking a b cut impeller as i cruise around 4k as it is...is this a bad idea should i go with the medium? What impeller metal should i go with? I know the motor is into the 500 hp...i range...i just need to make sure the pump is right for the app...and be done with it
