90w gear oil , use the Lucas red line or royal purple Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
I think any heavy gear lube is fine. I put 85-140 in mine. My seal leaks a little, and the heavier oil stays in better, and helps keep water intrusion down.
I agree ^^^Really, you can use any oil in an oil-lubricating Berkeley bowl. You can even convert it to grease-lubricating, although I think oil is a better option. It is even possible to convert to water-lubricating. It just can't run dry. It's the easiest thing to service, I topped mine up every time I went out.
