Title: Anybody ever seen this happen
Post by: Daves46001 on August 26, 2018, 12:07:12 PM: I'm working out bugs on a recent jet boat purchase. It's a 1977 kachina 18' with jg pump, 496 BBC. Was on the lake running pretty hard when pump lost bite and picked up a mean vibration. I took pump apart and found a nylon wear ring that had came loose. What's the deal with this wear ring?

That's kinda what I was thinking, Ultimate Wear Ring, or a derivative, but I have only seen 'em in catalogs

Post by: Fonz69 on August 27, 2018, 05:55:55 PM: Ultimate wear rings are orange, I’ve used them in over 1000hp applications and work great. Not really sure what you have there but might be a knock off.
