Title: Anyone know what nozzle this is?
Post by: Brad @ SCJB on February 05, 2008, 10:18:56 PM
I picked it up off ebay awhile ago and its been sitting on a shelf in my garage....i've tried to describe it to a few people and they were unsure.

its obviously a race nozzle of some sort.....but its not the typical berkeley one. It is longer and doesnt have the mount for the rudder. its about 8" long and has a casting number on it of "L-2847"

i figure its some knock off of the berkeley race nozzle.

My guess is that someone added the long piece on the end of a standard race nozzle . The end peice looks like it's about the same thickness as the FTN inserts . Strip the paint and see if it's actually two pieces or if it's one cast part , that would be cool . Odds are it's some prototype part off Rasberry  :D.

beerjet is half right, someone added the round tubing on the end, part # L-2847 is a old standard nozzle housing from a early berkeley, that was cut off and the tubing welded on,  Jim
