Title: Berk 12JF change from cable steer to hydraulic ?
Post by: BamaJet on July 12, 2016, 05:00:20 PM
I would like to change from a rack/pinion cable steer to a hydraulic steer.

This has probably been done before, but pictures and part numbers would sure be helpful.

Thanks !!

Having put several hydraulic systems in over the years,  I can honestly say, your going to hate it.

It does not provide any of what I call "feedback".

I have a helm pump if you want it,  you'll need to buy an outboard ram and the hose kit.

You can really shorten the throw on the tiller.

May I ask what issues you're trying to resolve?
