Hello everyone this is Chip and I've been.looking for someone to help me understand just what I can do about this problem I'm having with quarter mile drag jer boat. I was up at the races this last weekend at lake ming. now mind you this is my first attempt of ever try anything like this I come from the drag racing world. So I'm at the starting line and I'm waiting for the count to under the tree and when it hits the six Mark I accelerate and immediately my boat veers to the left which of course scared everybody cuz I thought it was going to hit the boat next to me. So I took my foot out of the accelerator straighten the fold-out accelerated again and now it immediately veers to the right. Eventually I was able to make it all the way down the track but I still cannot figure out why this continues to happen I do have some slight play in my steering control rod arm it goes to the back of the boat but other than that I don't know why this continues to happen can anybody please help me figure this out.

I would call Tim at place Diverter, he used to race 1600-2300 hp jet boats and I thinks he’s seen a thing or 2 . And he always likes to talk about the good ol days when racing lol trust me I know lol

How much seat time do you have?
Full right on mine is at about 5 o'clock
Full left is at 7 o'clock.
When I jump in mine, I go right, left, and back to center. Almost habit.
I'd be curious to know how or what is affecting your steering.
