Title: Berkeley Pump base bolt pattern

Does anyone know the bolt pattern on the base of the pump? Im trying to design a mounting bracket for a pump brace. I want to have one milled out here at work but im not sure of the bolt pattern.

You could use a gasket for your pattern.

I have it dave, actually i just gave it to steve. he has it. its like a aluminum 1/8th inch spacer that goes inbetween bowl and droop

If you are bracing off of the front of the intake, where the majority of force is, it is best to transfer punch the mounting holes directly as you might find that they vary slightly.  Use the two outside bolts because the two center bolts are already pretty long.  Just in case ours are the same, the outside bolt holes are 9.313 center to center.  From port to starboard, the center to center actual measurements are:

2.993, 3.321, 2.980 for the bolt holes across the front of the intake

2.905, 2.949, 2.885 for the bolt holes across the front of the suction housing

Be advised that they are usually not drilled straight inline.  These have very sloppy tolerances.

I won't be able to mount to the front of the intake. The motor is to far back. So I have to mount the pump brace on the front of the pump.

If I do that I will have no back seat for the ladies. Plus if you make enough power there is no reason to move the motor forward :-) dont worry I have something for you guys. Its in the works now.

Me worried? Naaaa. Do your boat a favor and put big power to it. Jake should be the first on your list, then lopez and if you make it through them you can have a peice of the brown trout.The brown trout is getting a back seat this week, maybe a bimini to.;)

Im pretty sure I have Jake covered, Lopez maybe if he doesn't squeeze. The brown trout leaves hard but then goes limp. I have seen it run lol. There will be big power in the boat. Really big :-)

if imnot mistaken,im sure that is were all the thrust is and is the correct spot to make a support.

I've seen a lot of them mounted towards the front of the intake. But haven't seen one mounted to the hub itself.
