Panther pumps?

 Was curious about panther pumps and their performance. How dependable are the behind 500 or so h.p. can you trick them out like a berkely and what would be involved if I ever wanted to swap it out for a berkely, thanks.

At the risk of being completely wrong , I've heard they are pretty bullet proof . All I think came with stainless impellors . Just not the best flowing pumps . Axial flow vs. the mixed flow berk style . Good I would assume on a bigger heavier boat for the whole shot . There is alot of stuff you can do to it though .

Ralph's boat (the pink hornet)originally had a Panther in it. It worked well and I was very pleased with it. If you want something other than a 60 mph pleasure boat, cut it out and install a V-DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a panther. it seems like a good jet to me. they just started offering the upgrades for it. i dont know anyone that has done them yet. but the info on the internet says it is worth the money.

if you want to swap for the berk you have to cut out the back of your boat and refiberglass it to fit the berk. too much work imo.

Im runnin a panther behind a built 454 (not sure how much HP.) and i pulled on a boat that was doin 80.
