Has anyone ever converted hydraulic turbine trim to cable operated controls. Looks like you would need a different arm where the ram hooks up to install a cable operated system. Tired of the slow pump and the hassles of bleeding the system. Cable seems faster and less maintenance. Any and all opinons are welcomed.

You can drill out the slotted hole
To accept the cable, and your done.

What size cable would you use? Would you drill it for a bulkhead type of cable?
-
Yup, it's the same size as the shifter cable...30c?

30xxBC (xx is the length, BC is Bulkhead) cable is all I think, no other mods I'm aware of short of drilling the tiller arm. Can swap a manual to a hydraulic almost as simply. ;)

33 BC would be like the throttle cable..

Dude, when it comes right down to it, there are three cables, 4 for us that have Place Diverters. Tom at JBP has a three cable deal that is cheaper than any two cables anywhere and a three cable deal better than that!
JMO, and I know B-rad has his issues with that.
But get the boat dimensions at home and GO from there. get our best price. You ain't gonna beat $125 for all three cables or $149 for all four............
