Title: could not get a skier up
Post by: Diablo on July 19, 2007, 08:39:16 PM
This past weekend my buddy wanted to water ski. took the boat out and punched it I could not get him out of the water. It would just drag him. I have plenty of power and had the diverter down is there something wrong with my boat???

sounds like your pump is slipping, need to go through your pump, too much clearance between wear ring and impeller.....  just my .02 ralph

Well if he had an outboard he wouldn't have this problem... ;D Besides outboards don't have diverters  ;)

I know none of you beatches cares but I GOT UP THIS MORNING!!!  It took a Mastercraft to do it but I CAN STILL SKI!!! Its been almost 3 years since I last skied but I can still cut glass w/ the best of em (Still a legend in my own mind too). 6'7" and 300 lbs is a bit much for my boat to pull out but I guess I can buy horsepower easier than losing weight huh. WooHoooo!!!  Going to Parker/Big River tomorrow  Wooo-Hoooo

Nice, hit a jet ski in a boat if you get a chance to.

Nice signature.  :D

First things first , I'm with ralph on this one . Definatly a clearance isssue. Take it out of the boat and take it into a reputable boat shop to have it redone . Best money you'll ever spend on your boat . You can throw more HP at it and it wont do a damn thing without a properly working pump . Trust me on that . Hell if you have rebuilt , you'll probably gain a few MPH , and be able to pull up a skier.

Second As far as me getting it up . I have a problem keeping it down so whatch your back boy and girls ... >:D My daddy always told " Try anything twice , except insest and country line dancing ."
