Title: CV-19 Motor swap
Post by: wes910 on June 17, 2012, 04:32:17 PM
Hello, I have a 73 cv-19 and the cam shaft broke and broke some on the lifters in the 455 olds that came with the boat. Im think about maybe swaping the motor to chevy 350. How much modifing will it take to make the berkely pump thats stock to the boat work with a small block chevy?

Not to be all over the place but would a 460 ford be a better option?

Any change is going to require you to locate all the marine hardware for the engine you go with (engine mounts, exhaust, cooling system hardware).  In a lot of cases it might be easier and less expensive to buy another boat with the engine and hardware you want and then sell off what you don't use.
