ya put me in the right direction i will clean the other one up check 4 cracks and powder coat it does have bolts all the way through with and nut thanks getting alot of information rusty
What Boost is eluding to is not using it AT ALLand getting a new one! Brad told me the same thing, correctly, over a year ago on a rock grate issue on my RIP Biesemeyer. If one weld fails, one of those pieces of angle iron or flat steel are going right up into the impeller and there won't be much, if anything, left to save on your pump. Everytime I've tried to cut corners on these things, it's come back and bitten me rite square on the ass and I'm not entirely sure I don't have rabies from them.
Tom is right, since it is out, and looks like it has been out quite awhile, you can check it out thoroughly and properly. I would be a little more cautious and have it mag'd or xrayed on the welds or just plain have them ground and rewelded by someone that knows what they're doing. That would be far more expensive than a new one, which is also the correct point Boost is making. I would rather see you get a new proper loader from Tom or have CJ222 whip one up for ya and fit it to your hull. Going to work better, and you're not likely to break one of them........
