So the droop doesn't connect to the ride plate

A true ride plate and shoe doesn't connect to the droop, it connects to the bowl.

While there are several connection methods, I do not recommend bolting anything to the droop.

The hot set up is to use a bulkhead plate between the bowl and the nozzle. This is silly strong and allows changing wedges and droops without screwing with the plate adjustments and you don't have to drill the bowl.

I like the info you gave me GT that helps me out a lot and mad things easier to decide gonna get the shoe done then the droop snoot if it doesn't affect the ride plate

I added the bolt on shoe and ride plate.... best investment along with the straight snoot from Duane at HTP for me. Took a bunch of pics during assembly and here is the final...biting edge is at keel with 3 up on plate.
