What do you guys think of my current setup? What would you change if it were you? It's on a 18ft eliminator with 500hp

A droop on that nozzle would not be good.
I recommend finding a later style nozzle with the flat bottom.

Why would a droop not be good? Would a straight snoot be better? Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with this nozzle? Just trying to learn more about the difference in parts.. Thanks guys

The grappling hook can be trimmed so that it doesn't drag so much, but still not quite as effective as the modern nozzles.

Sorry,
A droop would likely be great, just not with that nozzle shape.
That looks to be an early style nozzle and has the reverse chute hanging down into the water. If you droop it, it's like brakes.
Like Mr. Joe says, or could be trimmed.
The later style Place Diverter nozzles have a flat ride area on the bottom. Keeping the chute out of harms way.

One last question, do you guys happen to know what bowl this is? I have been told by someone that's it's a dominator bowl because it has a water cooled bushing, and if it had oil plugs on it, that it would be a Berkeley bowl?

I have the same place diverter and have question about it sins it was mentioned it can be trimmed, how much can be trimmed?

Looks like an old Dominator. Look inside the nozzle, if you don't see a cap with a zerk, it is a water lubricating bowl (first picture).
If you do see a cap (second picture), it is the more desirable grease lubed bowl.
The disadvantage of the water lubricating bowl is that it is susceptible to wearing the shaft and bushings when you are boating in dirty water that contains abrasives, such as the river.
