Title: Drive line
Post by: SoCalPSD on April 26, 2012, 12:14:22 PM
So I got hold of mouzer and he has the first drive line pictured and mine is the second. If you notice where I screwed up mine with channel locks trying to free the engine. It was in a wj pump which left the yoke exposed and now its goin in a yj  which it slips in and there's a seal. So mine is no good. Question is if you notice mousers drive the yoke unbolts, will it bolt to my u joint and work?

just hit up pat/lhbsz to put it on his lathe and cut all those grooves off and polish it up.  i bet it'd take like 10 mins if that.

But after its machined will it still seal? That's the question, atleast 1/32-1/16 of an inch needs to be removed

It probably won't seal. What you could do is get ahold of pat like kayotik says have him turn it down and then get some pipe and have him turn that down about .003" too small, heat it up and slide it over the yolk. When it cools you will be good I go and the interference will prevent it from coming loose.

You should be able to get a speedy sleeve for your existing yoke.  Clean it up using a wire wheel and emery cloth then install the speedy sleeve to get a new sealable surface.

Take the yoke to a bearing supply house (King bearing, Kaman Technologys), they will find you a sleeve to fit.
