Looks like I have an electric place diverter? Button on dash with big black box mounted to transom with control cable coming out of it? Positive it's not a jetovator nozzle. Kinda wanna shit can the box and electrics and go manual. It's acting funky. Anyone ever ran across this? Never new there was an electric place diverter.

He has an electric (so do I) that uses a suburban rear window motor, I think.
Mine dosent have the 'poop' to have the roost go all the way up under power, but it works fine going down or on the trailer. Ive been thinking about going hydraulic, but the price tag is above my pay grade. mechanical was a bitch to use on my lil boat, but did throw a decent rooster (over the bridge at Laughlin)

Sounds like we are confusing a jetovator and a place diverter here....if its got a wiper motor controling it its a type of jetovator.

Mines a 'Place Diverter', But quite possibly a 'jet-o-vator' electric/cable control set-up.

It has to be a jetovator
Usually the box that the motor is inside has a Berkeley sticker or label
When they go out the won't hold the nozzle in the proper position
Place diverter is hydraulic or manual cable operated either preference I have a cable u can place it any way u want no lag.

Show me the back end of nozzle that says placediverter
The jetovatoris a Berk brand
Both are just brands of an adjustable nozzle and u need a new motor or switch it up
BTW mash on it that reverse bucket sure looks like a Berkeley ;)

I have a PLACE DIVERTER Jacuzzi, also--Same bucket
And a Dominator, Same bucket
And a CMI, Same bucket
And a Jet-o-vator, Same bucket
Thats all I have in the yard right now
A Place Diverter steers first, trims next
A Jet-o-vator trims first, steers next

Sorry I meant the port the water is flowing through to reverse I'm not sure what u call that portion
Good point about the trim and steer difference
Anyway is your electric motor a placediverter brand

Not hydraulic ,definatly electric. Definatly a place diverter. I think someone switched the jetovator nozzle out for a pd. black box is unmarked. Pulling all that junk out and switching over. Probably go manual so there will be less shit to go wrong.

I never knew they had that it but anyway old Tech and the only few Berk ones I have seen were worn out

Opened black box and it looks nothing like a window motor :sly: looks like a linear actuator turned sideways that pushes or pulls the cable? Gonna check wiring and see if I can get it working properly . 8)

yeah I have heard like someone said on here it is a GM truck window motor. Hey my second Gen z28 still has original window motors so maybe its a bad connection and youll be Golden

The ones I've seen bad the nozzle looks flimzy I guess you could say
It wont take much to make it manual and I bet you could find a handle and stuff used plus youll get full motion out of it

Possibly custom made? May just keep it if I can make it work properly.

Awesome!!! I like when something turns out to be like that, you think it's going to be a lot of money but ends up being something easy and cheap.
