Dominater 12s
« on: May 02, 2016, 02:00:08 PM »
Hello, I was wondering how a 19ft eliminator formula would ride with a dominater 12s pump with no place diverter or trim what so ever? Would it be a horrible ride or just harder to get on a plane? I plan on getting a place diverter in the future but I'm going to buy the boat first and want to know what I'm getting my self into.

I can't speak for an Eliminator Formula, (V-hull?) but as far as a Dominator pump without a diverter, It'll be just fine. My Dominator pump doesn't have one either, on a 19' Saguaro bowrider. A place diverter cable broke on another boat, I pulled the cable, used 'all thread' to keep it solid, and used it the entire weekend.

More important than a diverter, is engine set-up and impeller choice that matches, for getting on plane.
Test drive Before ya buy it.

im running without one, and i have a full droop wedged "up" for more top end speed.

With that said, it pops up onto plane pretty effortlessly. But a diverter would be a big improvement.

With no wedges in the equation. I think you would hardly notice a difference so long as the pump is in decent enough shape. (out of the hole)

In my opinion where the diverter really shines is having the ability to adjust the bow height for water conditions. (i.e. rougher water)

Dont get me worng though, a diverter will shine everywhere. But if you like the boat, and its a good deal. Dont pass on it because of a diverter...

they are easy to add later on
