I’m looking a getting a split bowl for my boat I have a 12jc-a pump in my boat now can I just buy a used bowl or are they pump specific? And or pump model specific? Also is their anything I should look out for when buying a used bowl? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Any Berkeley bowl will simply just bolt on. I believe all Aggressor bowls also. Most Dominator bowls you will find will bolt up no problem. However, American Turbine offers a large bolt pattern bowl that also has larger diameter suction register, 9.250 instead of 9.125 inches. I would avoid the old Dominator bowls with the small opening droop side unless you get it for free and just have to have it. Be advised that the Dominator bowls have aslightly larger outside diameter than a Berkeley, and you will have to modify the transom cover to fit. Legend bowls are a slightly different animal and are not really interchangeable. Different bolt size (3/8" vs. 1/2"), bolt circle diameter, and register diameter. You will also, most likely, not be able to find a Legend droop of any kind.

The Aggressor and modern Dominator bowls are longer than the Berkeley bowls. Depending on your droop and installation, you will need to adjust your steering tube and/or get a steering extension.
