So my buddy has a 19 foot Eliminator. JG pump with diverter. When I first saw the pump I was kinda surprised how far down it points. When it is down like that he has a shit ton of boat in the water. When it is all the way up he has next to nothing of a rooster. But I am no expert. What do you think? Normal? Or we can change something?

Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like he may have another 1/4" of adjustment in the cable. My place diverter brackets will touch when all they way up.

Yeah-
I usually have the adjustment for all the way up, and down is slightly below level.

I agree with ECK. Remove the cable from the diverter arm (where the heim joint connects to the arm) and manually lift the nozzle all the way up. Now go in the boat and move the handle to the full up position. Go back to the back of the boat and adjust the bulkhead nuts so that the heim joint and the arm on the diverter line up so you can put the bolt back in it. You can also thread out or in the heim joint on the cable. 4 full turns of thread on the heim should be enough that it won't strip or pull out. Anything less that 4 turns is a little dicey.
Hope that helps. Be sure to post pics of how high it can go after you do this.

Disconnect cable. Manually tilt the nozzle up. Adjust your cable end to fit in the "all the way up" position when your shifter is positioned "all the way up".

So this is a pic from up above with the handle all the way forward. See how the diverter hits the pump? We cant phsyically get it to go up higher. Strange no? Diverter all the way up I would think gives you more than a three foot high rooster.

Adjust the top cable nut so it is flush with the end of the threads and re-torque the bottom nut.
The rod ends don't need to be threaded all the way on. 3/8" thread engagement (not including the jam nut) should be sufficient. You can do this on both ends of the cable.
If you really want to get ambitious, you can relocate the cable clamp in the shifter assembly.
P.S. I think Jim Brock still has some wedges available.

It appears the nozzle is up just about as far as it can go. You might be able to get another degree or two, but nothing significant. If you're really looking to shoot big ole tails, you need to start looking at butting some wedges between the bowl and nozzle housing. I have a 4ยบ wedge and a gasket in stock. they run $50 if you would like it.
