Jet Boat Performance Loader Install..pics and comments
« on: June 19, 2010, 07:17:36 PM »
I am finally ready to install the loader. I have to do this before I lower the motor in because of the nuts on the back side to lock everything into place. The holes are already drilled and tapped for 5/16-18 threads. Tom at Jet boat performance helped me out in choosing a loader for my boat. Got it a while ago from him. On comment though- no disrespect Tom but the guy welding them for you needs to at least knock off all the welding spatter and nubs. It just takes 20 minutes or so with a beveled file and a hammer. Knock off the nubs and the extra mig wire hangging off this thing. I am sure when these nubs and balls of welds break loose they are not good for the impeller and wear ring.

Ok nuff said. I mocked it up and did the straight edge deal and got this thing at zero to the keel line. I had to cut it back about 1.5" and then knife edged it. There is a big thread at PB and some guys say 1/8" up or 1/8" below the keel.
See pics to compare the loader to the so called Berk. grate loader. Also the "Berk grate loader" that was on there was hanging down 1.5". It was like pulling a parachte when letting off the gas.
