Title: Help...
Post by: OC2Vegas on April 28, 2007, 06:51:01 PM
So I am trying to remove the pump from the boat and have had a hell of a time.

Removed all of the bolts through the transom.
Cut through the silicon the previous owner slopped all over the pump.

But can not get it to pop loose. Am I missing something?

Its a Jacuzzi

do you have the transom adapter off, if not take a screwdriver and hammer on each side at the bottom and start prying try not to screw up the gel.

are you willing to part with them?  I am a while away from reinstalling the pump, have to strip, powdercoat and rebuild.

The pump is out!

There was so much F**kin Silicone we had to take the pump out as one unit because we couldnt seperate the transom cover from the pump.

That was so jimmie rigged I am half expecting to find some duct tape and wire somewhere...oh thats right, the duct tape and wire were on the trailer.

Thanks rwyyattb  for the suggestion...nicked the gel in one spot...easy fix.

I have one tube open already, have done two boats w/ it already. You are welcome to it , it should be plenty. What did you ever do about your floor?
