So I just rebuilt my pump mounted it and hooked it up to the engine and can't get the motor to turn over so I'm assuming something in the pump is jammed. I just had the engine running so I know the problem isn't there. Has anybody had this problem and any pointers?

Can you spin the pump when it's unhooked from the engine?

No I can't. I think I have it figured out after thinking about it. I think the impeller is stuck against the bowl stuffer so it might need some machining to work but I haven't pulled it back apart yet.

ya, if you didn't machine the bowl to allow for the stuffer plate thickness that would certainly do it. How thick is the plate?
how did you go about verifying the clearance of the impeller to wear ring? Shouldered wear ring or non-shouldered?

The stuffer was installed previously. I used a feeler gauge to check the clearance and everything spun freely until I tightened the bowl down. I'm still stuck I can hear something rubbing inside when I loosen the bowl and crank the pump by hand

Non shouldered standard wear ring the stuffer looks like 1/4 plate
