Not really.
The only way I've ever seen them was the way mine was .
The O-ring around the bowl came to within a 1/4 of inch from the outside of the T/A
The others have had Jacuzzi's in them.

I actually got the opportunity to go look at this boat .

It had a Jacuzzi with the energizer kit on it.
When I went to see it, it was having some work done to it so it was in pieces.
That boat acually has 2 small rudders on either side of the intake that turn damn near 45 dgrees.
1" stringers, and a foot operated ride plate that also operated the diverter nozzle .
Years back when it was originally rigged by Jack McClure , the only diffrence was that the nozzle was fixed.
So it got all of it's steering from the 2 small rudders.
2002ish Tim Demerit (Nuckin Futs) drove it in the Parker 300 and he said it turned like a flat bottom and from what I gathered he liked it over all.
That coversation was a few years ago so I cant really remember how it went.
Jim Rich said it was a great boat, just the slowest thing in the world.

Josh ran across one also with a Jacuzzi but not set-back either and Ray (IIRrebel) has one with a Jacuzzi

For what it's worth Tom, the builder of the Saguaro bought the molds from Beisemeyer and was also good freinds with the owners of Kona boats.
The deck has alot of Kona designs
The bottom has more Beisemeyer influence than Kona.
Jim Brock I want to say picked up the mold to my boat after Saguaro's owner died in a plane crash and probably knows more than I do about it.
He told me lots of good stuff about them but I dont think a set back was going to be a huge benefit.
I could only see it making the boat more stable at higher speeds.
I can go on and on .....

My favorite part is how these two pictures came out almost 40 years apart.

You can always give them away.
They are a great lake/river boat.
Mine made respectable speed for the power I had.
I would race one again in a heartbeat.
I never had any issues with swapping ends or bow steer on shut down or when the motor cut out.
Mine also had a great set-up already dialed in when I bought it and adding the fin in a pretty ideal place made me way over confident in that boat.
At Ming I could go into the turn almost WOT and the harder I pushed it the flatter it felt and I could also feel it digging, just fukin carving a line in the turn.
It just wowed me every time out.
Jim Brock told me plates would be worth a try.
I remember a Parker race when Jim Rich told me "This is your race, it's windy, choppy, your boat is gonna love it !"
He was right.
I didnt win but nobody's boat was hookin up.
I put it one notch down from center and it ate the chop up.
No turn fin and I was keeping up with the pack.
I'm gonna go cry now  :'(

Thanks OMY you da man ! re that Pic while searching for his boats "roots" we came across that pic years ago ! although offficially a "Beezer" Sons boat has a lot of similarities to Saguaro (2/3 size version) just kind of "clicks" with all the history and "lineage" Thanks for the help  Tom

Actually, Mine has a Berk JC-A Omar.

If I ever finish up this tunnel ram on the Sleekcraft, I'll get to work on the thing too. Setback sounds cool Tom, can't wait to see pics of it being done! You can experiment with mine if you want  ;D

Since mine is apart and stringer integrity in qiestion anyway, what do I have to lose? Not much in it thus far!

(As the idea wheel grinds away in my lil brain.......) :banghead:

Joshs boat came to us with a lot of cool (spendy) hardware the cleats pop up too , nice stuff but require "inletting" of those areas of the hull to be installed Tom
