How do you figure?
according to my calculations its about 100hp off....or better yet...i should be doing almost 110mph
it takes a lot more then 100hp to go from 100mph to 107mph

According to what my last boat did it is about 230hp off. And i guarantee the new boat will be at least 15-20 mph faster with the exact same motor in it.

it may not be the pump, mite be the bottom of the hull, however, a good rebuild will do any tired pump wonders
-
it was recently rebuilt and it runs better than before but im still looking for more lol "i wanna go fast"
-
The Jet being "Right" and "tight " is critcal , but Horse power , "set up" and "tune up" will bring you speed Tom

How do i know if its tight?
-
I'm confused. you were hitting 53 or 75?
53 with your set up, yeah, I'd go after the pump. 75? leave the focker alone!!! you're doing more than fine!

It was 53 at about half throttle so im estimating 75 wide open its a 17.5 ft anthony
-
I don't understand. You know you want to go faster... But you still haven't even pushed it to W.O.T. to see where you're at? :D
-
It got squirly after i fixed the bugs and could open it up and i just got a diverter on to fix that i just like to go fast lol really fast

How do i know if its tight?
I've always heard "its gotta be tite to be good" ....................
but seriously IF its still in the boat and all is know , performance (rpms vs speed and performance is key) if its apart its all about measurement and inspection call Pm or post up if we can help Tom
