Title: how slow will i be out of the hole

i have a 460 that's basically stock with a jacuzzi wj pump with an a impeller thats needs a rebuild but i cant swing 800 bucks to have it rebuilt right now. i found a used pump with a b impeller in it my question is how slow will be out of the hole. fyi i pretty much use the boat for skiing only at local lakes i dont do much for cruising around unless im at the river.

Depends on way too many variables...

How worn is the used pump for example?

Your best bet is to try it... If you can't swing the rebuild anyway, you have nothing to lose....

Yeah that's kind of how I feel it's just a temporary thing until I can I afforded to do the other one right. I'm just worries it will be a dog pulling a skier out of the water

Honestly, if the B impeller pump is pretty tight, it might kick butt out of the hole compared to the worn out A. The motor will be able to get to it's peak HP much quicker when the B is compared to an A in a rebuilt state...

Try it, you have absolutely nothing to lose.

It's like putting 4:11 in your street car. You may lose a little on the top end but if the pumps tight you'll get there quicker.

A Jacuzzi 'B' is similar to a Berk 'A', and that Jacuzzi 'A' is more like a Berk 'A2'
If the pump is tight, You should see ~4400-4600 with a stock BBF, 320ish hp.
