Jacuzzi WJ
« on: April 13, 2014, 01:24:13 PM »
I'm looking to freshen up my WJ. My bearing feels fine. I have two questions. How tight should the shaft fit in the bushing? And how do I know if it needs a wear ring? Should I just throw a new one in for cheap insurance? I haven't got it that far apart yet. If I don't have to, I dont want to. I was just wanting to change the larger o rings and reaseal with silicone. Thanks for any help

If the boat has been run OUT of the water, It most definitely needs a new wear ring, they are a plastic 'self clearancing' wear ring. (last one I had was .090" + clearance  :screwy: )
The bushing in the bowl has a grease zerk, but I don't know the specs on it.

The two seals on the bearing housing are pretty easy to do (10054 Lup Seal 0168 Oil Seal x 2)

Where can I get the seals and the o rings? I live in Ontario.
