Title: Hydraulic conversion for diverter???
Post by: 79charger on May 16, 2011, 12:51:08 AM
I have a 12je with a place diverter and floor mount manual shifter . I was thinking about converting to a hydraulic kit because of the convienence . Had a few questions ??? Is the conversion easy? Do I have to get out of throttle to adjust like I have to the manual one ?? And cons besides price ??? Thanks guys ....

does not matter on throttle-any speed it works=pretty easy to follow directions-drilling holes for hydraulic lines thru transom is your biggest thing-either bulkhead fittings thru fiberglass or drill and tap pump cover=either way works fine=the hydraulic pump unit can be mounted on the transom or i found a small battery box for mine and mounted it to the stringer =keeps it dry and clean
