A Jacuzzi with the Energizer kit is supposed to be pretty good. I dont think they are all that great stock. Berkley is still better

yj or wj is the ? yj pass wj can be a good pump

I've got one for sale.   

I only know what I've heard/read about them. Decent pumps stock that can be modified to be as good as a Berkeley.   

i have a yj w/energizer its ok now but wouldnt do it again

i think hes suggesting its more wise to shitcan the jaccuzi all together and get a berk.

how will u know if its a yj or wj is it marked somewhere. sorry still new to jets. would it be hard to change out a jet .

The Jacuzzi Y  pump is a great pump for heavy big boats. The nozzle is larger than the Berkley or any of your high performance pumps. They were made for boats with small block engines, or pushin big boats  with big block engines over 22 ft. The highest recomended horsepower for this drive is 350hp. So this makes it undesirable for most power hungry jet boaters. They are not good for maximum top end speed thats why the energizer kits are made. They deliver more thrust at lower rpms then the other pumps. They are great pumps for the right application. For more information check out North American Marine jet pumps. They bought Jacuzzi and still manufacture the parts for the pump. The current version of the pump is called a Nomera and is still in production!
