I bought a used impeller, and while it is an "A", and does fit, sorta...
It doesn't allow the bowl to go on, holding it out by a half inch. Will machining off a half inch from the bowl side make it work?

No, you will need to obtain a Dominator bowl or have the rear of the impeller machined off. Not the bowl.

OK, sorry GT, I meant the bowl side of the impeller. Thank you very much, as always, your advice is appreciated.

You can also bore a Berkeley bowl for the second wear ring

The impeller that I am using for now is a temporary thing. I will be buying a new impeller at the end of the season, so I will just have it machined.

since you apparently bought a used impeller for a different brand pump be sure to verify all your clearances/tolerances to insure everything works correctly. Do you have a shouldered wear ring?
